The phototype is the quality of a subject’s response to the action of the sun’s rays. There are 6 phototypes determined in accordance with the complexion, the skin colour, the presence or not of ephelides (freckles), the individual’s tendency to suffer from sunburn or on the contrary the individual’s capacity to trigger a tan.
